Friendly Bear, ModPods & The Electric West (The Satellite)

It’s not uncommon to want to be at more than one show on any given night when living in Los Angeles and that was definitely the case last Friday night. Warbly Jets at the Echo…ModPods at the Satellite – so many local bands to see, so little time. This is where set times come in handy (thank you very much, BadassbandsLA!).

So this Friday night the local music fest was kicked off by newbies Friendly Bear (a new project by Adam Bones of The Two Tens along with Guy Wiener and Megan Granger) who were a lot of fun and sounded great. Next up came The Electric West who will make you miss your goth days followed by ModPods who came out swinging with a new song. Modpods’ darling lead singer, Myriad Slits, says the band is working on some new music for this year which is looking like it’s going to be a great one for new music, in general.
