Music On, World Off And May The 4th Be With You

Happy Friday and all things Star Wars, friends, because the fandom that began in a galaxy far, far away inspired a pun that has become the worldwide holiday that we call Star Wars Day.

In order to make the day more out of this world than it already (obviously) is, here’s my freshly updated Music On, World Off Spotify playlist starring some new additions from a fine cast of musical characters to dig into such as not one but TWO long-awaited new tunes “Unamerican” and “Heaven’s Got A Back Door” from THE Dead Sara who I cannot love enough (bring on that new album, kids) and the badass stomp “Life To Fix” from The Record Company. Both Mainland and Matt Maeson have new EPs so “Rituals” and “The Hearse” are in there, respectively. Allen Stone is busy crooning about his “Brown Eyed Lover” (not mad at it) while Meg Myers seems a bit “Numb.” Also, I made some new friends at an event this week in the form of the Dallas, TX band Northern National so check out their tune, “Slow Down.”

Jade Bird, Ruby Velle & the Soulphonics, Jess Glynne, Gang of Youths….it’s all in there. So cue up Music On, World Off, get in there, happy listening and on this and every day: May the Force be with you.
