Let’s be clear: The Manchester foursome Pale Waves has been a weirdly refreshing addition to the indie musical landscape. Goth-pop is a thing and, in the hands of Heather Baron-Graci (vox/guitar), Ciara Doran (drums), Hugo Silvani (guitar), and Charlie Wood (bass) their retro rooted, synth-washed ear candy registers as delicious as it is contemporarily charming.

Perhaps it’s the bright, youthful vigor that Pale Waves use to capture and frame the head and heart’s honest inner dialogue: all wonderous and dreamy without glossing over the shadows and jagged bits. Whatever the secret, it’s been a steady ascent for the band since springing forth in 2014, so as a precursor to their forthcoming full-length debut album (due out later this year) comes the digital release of their Matt Healy-produced
All The Things I Never Said EP. Comprised of three previous releases (“The Tide,” “My Obsession,” and “New Year’s Eve”) and the fresh “Heavenly,” the EP is a compact exercise in sleek melody and extremely tight arrangements of sound reflecting a young band’s fairly mature grasp of making damned good songs.
All The Things I Never Said gets a physical release (in lovely red vinyl, no less) on March 16th but you can stream the goods below. Also, check out Pale Waves’ upcoming Spring tour dates HERE.
