The Who: VOWWS (Los Angeles, CA)
The What: It’s the first single off of the upcoming album, Under The World (due out in February via Anti-Language Records) from Sydney, Australia natives VOWWS and a song which Matt calls, “one of the most immediate songs on the new record.”
VOWWS is Matt and Rizz and with the assistance of artist Jesse Draxler (Zola Jesus, Chelsea Wolfe) the duo’s dark pop gets an edgy, industrial and glitchy treatment in this ‘not official video’ for “Forget Your Finery” making it equal parts ominous and spunky, and certainly more effective than a simple jpeg. It’s a little weird with it’s colorized noire, surf rock undertow and the name “Mia Wallace” feels awfully apropos, as does having this ‘not official video’ as our new Video Of The Week.
