There is never really a good reason to miss a Draemings show: just like snowflakes, they are beautiful and no two are ever alike. Friday’s show at The Moroccan Lounge was their final show of 2017 and, with Polyplastic and Strange Familia, included a very glitter-centric face painting station and a stage decorated in black light activated roses. Polyplastic’s modern take on New Wave was a great surprise and a new gem has been discovered in the rich LA music scene. As for Draemings, even with frontwoman Kimi Recor a bit under the weather they never fail to put on anything short of a spectacular show. It’s great to see a band that puts so much into their live show – making it more of an event – and their fans definitely appreciate their extraordinary and otherworldly efforts.
