The Who: The New Electric (Calgary, Alberta)
The What: Since coming together as The New Electric in 2014, brothers Kyle and Shade McKearney, Chris Doi, James Jannetty and Adam Casey have won some competitions, such as Corus Radio’s Next Big Thing, and are winning over hearts and minds (mainly hearts) with some damned charming alternative pop/rock like 2015’s “Life’s What You Make It.” The video for their latest single, “Inside Out,” may have abstract love story qualities, but it comes with a message very plain, simple and direct: Equality and love. Directed by Stuart Brennan and filmed out in the gorgeous Calgary wild, we’re into the story The New Electric are telling.
