“Local Roses” By Dear Boy

The Who: Dear Boy (Los Angeles, CA)

The What: What’s black and white and…well, more black and white all over? Dear Boy in all of their monochromatic glory. Since 2013, Ben Grey (vox, guitar), Keith Cooper (drums), Austin Hayman (guitar) and Nils Bue (bass) as Dear Boy have dispensed little sonic romantic gestures wrapped up in post-punk longing and Brit pop idealism, all neatly fastened with a bow of boyish charm that sound like “Hesitation Waltz” and even a crack cover of Psychedelic Furs’ “The Ghost in You.” Directed by Baley Wynn, this video for their latest single/parting of ways song, “Local Roses” (from their forthcoming Parts Of A Flower EP due out later this Spring), finds the guys in an adorable state of…playful. So much so that we’re 99.9% sure that we saw the religiously stoic Bue smile…which, unquestionably, made more than a few feminine hearts flutter. That we’re 100% sure of.

The Where: Where can you keep up and in touch with Dear Boy? In the usual social places like their official website, Facebook page and at @DearBoyOfficial on Twitter.
