The Who: AWOLNATION (Los Angeles, CA)
The What: As far as songs go, the latest single from Aaron Bruno aka AWOLNATION’s Run album is an honest ode to the feminine and its music video, “A hymn to all women” according to director Marc Klasfeld (Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Red Hot Chili Peppers). Featuring a bevy of brave natural women in full rock mode, according to Bruno his intention was, “…to create something lighthearted, energetic and authentic featuring women in their natural state.” We think that Bruno and Klasfield more than succeeded, especially considering the casting of actual musicians. It’s fun, funky, bold, beautiful and refreshing with what looks like a healthy dash of joy thrown in for good measure in what truly is a celebration of the sex, both fair and fierce. Bravo, gentlemen. And ladies.
