The Who: blondfire (Los Angeles, CA)
The What: Partially filmed using her iPad, Erica Driscoll channeled her inner director for this video of blondfire’s “True Confessions” and the result is an eye-catching visual exercise in black and white. As Driscoll explained, “It’s about a relationship gone cold. Wanting love from someone who’s incapable of giving it to you.” While it may not be the happiest of subjects, the song is signature, confident and melody buoyant blondfire. “True Confessions” is also the title track to her upcoming EP due out on March 11th, so keep an ear out.
Also, the Austin, TX music festival South By Southwest in March is our favorite music time of year and just wouldn’t be the same if we didn’t see Driscoll out there serving up her electro pop. Fortunately, blondfire will be there as one of the many artists we have to look forward to!
