Cool is as cool does as Los Angeles new kids on the the block, the Eeries, bring their underdog/outsider rock angst and the stuff that made music in the 90s so formidable and still beloved to the Troubadour. Guitars, vocal shred, hair…lots of hair. Currently on the road with former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, the Eeries have a few things going for them (other than being on the road with former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way): Los Angeles radio (KROQ) has their back (having added their single, “Cool Kids,” to the rotation mix), kids cool and otherwise are digging their sound and the band has recently signed to Interscope Records with a full album projected in 2015. Nothing wrong with being an outsider that everybody wants in on.
