I'm sorry about the lack of updates. I also work for a music management company here in Chicago; one of our bands, Ezra Furman & the Harpoons, played Lollapalooza this year. Working for their manager, I had to be a stage hand during their set, as well as helping to band get to their scheduled interviews on time and what not.
That being said, I haven't had much time to go and see bands perform. THOUGH, I definitely saw a lot of bands today. For instance, I was a little bummed about not being able to see thenewno2 today because the Harpoons had press to tend to at the time. Seeing them perform an acoustic set for SPIN in the press area definitely made up for that. Also, meeting Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys and Kip from TV on the Radio within two minutes was amazing. And three run-ins with Yeah Yeah Yeahs? Best thing ever. So running around all day, working for a band at Lollapalooza definitely has its perks.
As for yesterday at Lollapalooza, I didn't stay long because of the weather. My shoes were caked in mud by time I left! I ended up seeing Delta Spirit at Schuba's last night; they were amazing as usual. I always love seeing that band.
Anyhow, I'm currently at the House of Blues with the Harpoons. They're playing with fellow Lollapalooza band Blind Pilot for an after show/party. We think it might sell out, which is always a good thing. You knew that already.
