Maybe not so much mythic, but Dan Auerbach is certainly a force to be reckoned with.
I found out that Mr. Auerbach was playing a secret show at 3AM last night. Did I go? You bet. Although I was so drained from the events that happened that day, I would have been very pissed at myself if I hadn't gone. Anyhow, he was incredible. The environment was awesome, and he looked way more into this show than his huge live shows. Probably for the fact that the show was so intimate. He was very involved with the crowd, talking to us, sharing his tequila with the crowd, and even taking some peoples cameras to take photos.
Something like this would never happen on a regular basis, and that's why SXSW is the shit.
Man, I love this place.
I'm currently waiting for the Nicholas Tremulis Orchestra to go on, more later!
