Out Of The Cold

I'm not sure how recycling works but if you gathered a years worth of PBR cans, threw them in an aluminum shredder (I’m pretty sure they crush cans but bear with me) and just let them do their thing that would somewhat give you the idea of Wisconsin’s own Father Phoenix.

Formed out of the vibrant Milwaukee hardcore scene, Father Phoenix has spent the last two years destroying basements with their grimy punk rock style and building a two story library, complete with ladders (you know, the kind with wheels), full of material.

With the release of their self titled album on the upstart label Mice Unite, Father Phoenix will be spending 2008 improving on their already stellar reputation and drinking every beer in the brew city, in no particular order.

So check out their jams and if you’re feeling up to it, purchase the record. — Sean Williamson
